I’m writing a research paper on bilingualism in autistic children, and I was wondering if anyone out there had any information or personal accounts (with a child, relative, friend, self) that might help me better develop what I want to write about. I haven’t focused on a specific aspect of autism and bilingualism so I’m just looking for general information on the subject. Just wondering what are some difficulties with learning/speaking two languages, if it makes things easy, does it help with cognitive abilities or can learning a second language or the use of a second language be generalized to other subjects/tasks/objectives? Thanks so much for any help/input, I really appreciate the help!
