Is aspergers syndrome the same thing as autism?
I have a project in science and I was assigned to do “Autism/aspergers syndrome.” Does this mean I have to research two different disorders or are they the same thing.

The Social Emotional Evaluation® (SEE®) by Dr Elisabeth Wiig evaluates the social skills and higher-level language that students with autism need to interact with their peers, parents, and other adults. SEE® presents typical social situations and common emotional reactions that elementary and middle school students encounter frequently. Criterion-referenced scores help to identify the social and emotional language needs of students with autism spectrum disorders, language delays/disorders, learning disabilities, or other executive functioning disorders. www.superduperinc.com
I thought other parents could see what our 25 month old boy Luca does with his Autism, we thought he had Aspergers but just recently got the diagnosis that it’s plain Autism! We are so proud of him for knowing his Alphabet and Numbers. His favorite toys are chalk and his Magna doodle. So I guess they call it Autism now when a child actually “wants” to learn
Just so everyone in the world can see…little Luca is awesome!!! Also does anyone know anything about yourbabycanread.com? Just curious if it works

On thanksgiving I was kidding with a cousin of mine who has Aspergers and I saw his dad yesterday and he said the boy was upset for 2 days afterwards cause of my jokes. I didn’t say anything offensive at all as far as I’m concerned, but I’ve heard it’s normal for people with AS to be quite sensitive and take things literally? And I do intend to phone him to apologize.

Note: This question is not about me. Just something in general.
My theory is that the guys women consider creepy and the like are actually suffering from aspergers. Possible?
Can anyone give me some reasons why the curious incident of the dog in the night time made a good portrayal of Aspergers syndrome?
