I had heard such things for autism and for what I heard, this thing does exist, but I think it’s a way to say that people with disabilities from learning to autism needs to be eliminated. This is terrible to me because people are different in such ways, and for someone feels or thinks that people should be normal( so-called normal), should go back to pre-school to know the facts of acceptance. I have friends and family with such disability form cerebal palsy to severe mental disability that are truely lovable people and very aware of what going on . I would never have such an antedote to change them for something that society feels is absolutely better. Love and support your friends with any kind of disability.

I am currently getting a BS in special education and am looking at grad schools. I plan on getting a masters in ABA, because I mainly want to work with autism. I want to get a PhD, but I’m not sure which branch of psychology I should get the degree in. I would like to be a therapist, counselor, or consultant working with autistic people, but I’m not sure which branch of the field I should focus on.
